Final project for my "intro to drawing" class.
The assignment was "Clusters of Humanity" where we select a group of people and make 10-20 small portraits of them. I chose classic Disney villains b/c...why not? I adored them more than the frilly princesses growing up, and still love these characters today.
Each piece is 6"x4.5" and each portrait took 2-2.5 hours to do. Part of the assignment was to "draw obsessively" and be sure to utilize crosshatching and and stippling in order to build tone.
Materials: textured watercolor paper, micron pens, ink wash.
Not being able to erase was...frustrating.
Resources: I have a folder of 60+ reference photos. I am NOT about to link every stock image, cosplayer, and screen shot. O___O
Oh, and 2 fuzzy villains got humanized. They're likely the ones you don't recognize.
